In July 2000, I found myself at one of the lowest points in my life. In one week’s time I would suffer the loss of all that I knew to be mine. I was fired from my job because I was accused of stealing. I lost my car that I had just paid off when I was broadsided in a collision on the driver side. I lost my girlfriend I was dating after she cheated on me and then left me. Then, my family kicked me out of my house, which left me nowhere to go. At that point, my life meant nothing to me. I decided to end my life. In a last ditch plea, I posted my good-bye letter to the world on the Internet. My best friend saw this letter and came to my rescue. This was the turning point in my life.
My friend took me to Mr. Faith’s house. Mr. Faith listened to my story. Then, using the Romans’ Road to Salvation, he led me to Christ. However, nothing changed in my life until after I met my wife Andrea at Ft. Sam Houston. We were married in August 2004. After she was transferred to Ft. Lewis, WA, we began attending Open Door Baptist Church in Des Moines, WA.
In January 2006, God called me into the ministry while attending a preacher’s conference at Faith Baptist Church in Tacoma, WA. In 2010 I became ODBC associate pastor and staff evangelist. In 2011 I finished Bible College, and was ordained into the ministry later that same year. During our time there my wife and I served together in the bus and children Sunday school ministry. I also taught or preached once a week at two different drug rehabilitation centers in our community. Once a month I had the privilege to preach at our nursing home ministry to the senior saints of God.
Then would move to Tucson AZ to become the associate pastor at Rincon Baptist Church, overseeing the nursery, children and youth ministries. Also would become involved in their food distribution, and retirement community ministries teaching, preaching, and serving God’s people.
Currently I’m serving the Lord at West Glendale Baptist Church in Glendale AZ as there associate pastor to the youth. It’s been wonderful my family and I are loving it here. We’ve never experience such a loving and caring church.
During this time I am working towards my Master of Divinity at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Scottsdale AZ.
Then Amos answered and said to Amaziah, “I was[a] no prophet, nor a prophet’s son, but I was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs. But the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’ Now therefore hear the word of the Lord. Amos 7:14-16
